  • Lucky Scents: Can Aromatherapy Bring You Luck?

    By Sonny White | November 22, 2010

Aromatherapy has been one of the most criticized methods of maintaining your well-being over the last couple of decades. The idea of rubbing scented oils over your body to heal yourself or bring you good fortune was about as accepted as a mojo bag is for good luck. It’s purely superstition. But there’s a funny thing going on in the world of late. It’s something that some people have known for eons, but only now is becoming believable by the masses.

    Aromatherapy

It’s not the aromatherapy that can bring fortune or good health; it’s the belief in it that can. If a scent can put you into a positive mindset, you are more likely to have success. Whether it’s making good decisions or the law of attraction, happy players find success. Using trinkets or philosophies to boost your self-esteem give you a definite mental edge, however small it may be.

Roll the Bones – What are the Luckiest Rolls

    By Sonny White | November 21, 2010

We all associate the lucky number seven with dice rolling. We see people playing craps in a movie, and every time they roll a seven it’s a winner. But seven isn’t always what you want to roll in craps. In craps, the seven is the number that the thrower wants to avoid once the “point” is established. It’s a winner on the ‘pass’ bet, along with 11, if the point isn’t established. The reasons seven is considered lucky go back to biblical references, like the creation of the earth in seven days and the weekly calendar.

    Rolling Dice

In numerology, the number three has traditionally been considered the luckiest, but it’s a loser for the ‘don’t pass’ bets. The 11 is considered lucky, and in craps it’s a winner for some bets. Ultimately though, the luckiest rolls depend on the situation that you’re in, and the bets that you have made at the time.

How to Hook Up with an Online (Casino) Hottie

    By Sonny White | November 20, 2010

Hooking up with a casino hottie online isn’t the same as in the real casino. For one thing, you don’t really know if she’s a hottie or not. In the real casino you can see her, and the only thing masking her identity would be any beer glasses you might be wearing at the time. I don’t think that hookers are scoping out sugar daddies online yet, so you’ll at least not have to go through the embarrassing episode of thinking that a hot girl is interested, only to realize she’s a pro.

    Casino Hottie

Most girls online will be floating around the blackjack and poker tables. Chat rooms have lots of girls online, especially on the weekends. Bingo is a popular game with the ladies; just make sure the age is correct. You don’t want to make a date with a 70-year-old, unless you’re into that sort of thing of course.

Good Luck Gifts for the Casino Gambler

    By Sonny White | November 18, 2010

    Gifts for the casino gambler

There is a ton of swag available for the casino gambler. If you’re buying for a poker player, the best thing to get them is a lucky card guard. You can either get them one with a favorite symbol, or have a personal one made for them that is a one of a kind. A nice set of Copag or Kem plastic playing cards is another gift any poker player would like.

For the blackjack player, a DVD of optimum strategy play or card counting would be appreciated. If they know that stuff already, DVD’s on shuffle tracking are also available. Andy Bloch has an all-in-one DVD out (for a couple of years now) which covers many topics.

One gift that most casino gamblers enjoy is good money clip. Nothing says high roller like a money clip. You can have them personalized or engraved, and every gambling man should have one.

Get Lucky – What Happens in Vegas

    By Sonny White | November 17, 2010

    What Happens in Vegas

Directed by Julian Farino Tom Vaughan, “What Happens in Vegas” stars Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. The plot seems simple and plausible enough, but do we need another movie about Vegas? What’s so different about this flick? I mean, even the marketing folks have changed their slogan to “Your Vegas is Showing” so that whole ‘what happens’ thing is a little old.

Here’s the synopsis, as Jeremy Wheeler from the All Movie Guid tells it: Two strangers find themselves wed and in bed after a wild night of Las Vegas shenanigans in this 20th Century Fox comedy. When they both recover to find that one of them won a jackpot the night before, the game is on as the two greedily vie for the loot, eventually discovering that maybe this ill-planned love connection isn’t quite as off the mark as they originally believed.

What do you think? Is “What Happens in Vegas” original enough or compelling enough to be a huge box office draw? Watch the trailer here.

Las Vegas – From the Past to the Present

    By Sonny White | November 16, 2010

It’s hard to believe that there are still scores of people who haven’t been to Vegas yet. Aside from all the glitzy casinos and the fantastic restaurants, there are also some pretty amazing shows. From magic acts to rock concerts to dazzling gymnasts, you can expect the unexpected in Vegas… They’ve been entertaining millions for decades, so it goes without saying that there’s something for everyone.

“Elvis reigned as the king of entertainment in Las Vegas in the early seventies, and he’s still a big draw at Legends in Concert, the second-longest-running show in town. Fans can head to the Imperial Palace to watch impersonators gyrate in Elvis’ iconic bejeweled white jumpsuit – nearly 50 years after its debut on a Vegas stage, it still dazzles”

Lucky in Love, Lucky at the Casino – Which Would You Rather Be?

    By Sonny White | November 15, 2010

If I could chose to be either lucky in love or lucky at the casino I would have to choose love. I know what you’re thinking, “If you were lucky at the casino you would be able to get all the ass you could possibly want.” But then you’ve got money-grubbing women chasing you around for your cash, and the chances of finding a woman who likes you for qualities other than your wallet go way down.

If you’re lucky in love you’ll have a good foundation on which to build a life. Success doesn’t mean much if there’s no one to share it with. A shallow materialistic existence may sound appealing for a while, but love and family trump money any day. Your casino winnings won’t be there by your side when you’re old and feeble. I’d rather be with a woman who’s hoping that I live, instead of the other way around.

    By Sonny White | November 14, 2010

    money wad

If you want live like a millionaire in Vegas you’ll need a few things. First off, millionaires don’t walk around town. You need a car that shows some style, so a ride that costs at least $60K is essential. You’ll also need a condo on the Strip. There are some great ones in the new Trump Towers priced from $600,000 to multi-millions.

You’ll be hanging out at the pool at the Palms, rubbing elbows with movie stars. You can cut lines to get into hot clubs like Pure, Rain or the Playboy Club, or check out the latest UFC card. You get to see any act that comes to town and eat some of the best cuisine on the planet.

You’ll also be able to walk into any casino and start a marker to play with, and casino hosts will chase you around trying to get you whatever you may desire.

    How Lucky Are You?

    By Sonny White | November 13, 2010

    Lucky Buddha

Are you a lucky person? Or do you just think you are? Are you keeping track of your wins and losses, or do you just guess at your playing results? Many people think they’re lucky until they document their results and discover that they’re just like everyone else.

You can be lucky in life. You can have good people around you who are healthy and loyal. You can be doing something you enjoy to earn a living, or maybe you’ve been born into a situation where money is no object. All these things are lucky.

There is no such thing as someone who is lucky at gambling. Being lucky is only a short-term situation, things will turn around and you’ll be unlucky also. You can’t fight the numbers, and lucky players eventually turn into losers for a while. But keep believing you’re lucky; it’s a healthier state of mind.

    Are You Feeling Lucky?

    By Sonny White | September 16, 2010

    four leaf clover

Every now and then you get that feeling of invincibility. It’s like you know that you’re going to win. Some days you just wake up and it all feels like it’s going to come together. A positive outlook is a contagious thing; once you feel that you’re going to do well, things seem to fall into place.

It’s not like you win every time you feel lucky. But I can’t recall winning when I was feeling unlucky. There’s a correlation there somewhere, but no has been able to pinpoint exactly how to do it. I don’t know if we can will our way to good fortune, but feeling lucky will increase your chances of getting lucky.

It will pay to play when you’re in good spirits. If you get angry and decide to play casino games to get your mind off of that emotion, you’re likely to get disappointed. Gamble when you’re happy – it works better.
