Vegas Embraces Lifestyle Branding

“What happens in Vegas, Stays in Vegas” is the phrase that we all associate with Sin City. In fact the slogan was so successful that it’s credited with increasing the amount of tourists visiting the city by over 10% from 2003 to 2006. Now the tourism marketers are trying to boost the influx of gamblers with a new campaign; “Your Vegas is Showing” will be the new phrase everywhere.
This new slogan is getting a big response. It seems that everyone was happy with the old one, and many think that “Your Vegas is Showing” targets a small audience of party-goers. It doesn’t reach the convention market or the retirees, like the previous slogan was able to achieve. Everyone seems to think that they can write a better slogan than this one, and I must have read a hundred of them this week, so here is mine: “Vegas Baby…Where else?”
