Las Vegas Strip – Biggest Improvements
By jstevens | March 15, 2010
Las Vegas is the fastest-growing city in America. As the resorts get bigger and bigger, the city has begun to evolve into a liveable metropolis, leaving behind it’s shady past. Beyond the casino development, which has been immense, the downtown core is becoming a village itself with transportation, shops, clubs, bistros, markets and galleries.
With so much development, the city itself is becoming a stage for the world’s leading architects to display their creativity. “Green” buildings are making a political statement in a place where opulence and excess are the theme of the day.

The best improvement the city will have for a while is the MGM City Center. The 76-acre complex is between the Bellagio, Monte Carlo and Interstate 15. The center has condos, shops, 4,800 hotel rooms, casino and restaurants. Included are green technologies and an onsite power plant to fuel the resort.
