Las Vegas: No Kids Allowed
By jstevens | March 16, 2010
Bette Midler sure knows how to promote her new show. After arriving in Vegas, she publicly stated that she was shocked to see so many children running around the casino resorts. “The scariest people of all in Las Vegas are the ones with the strollers,” said Midler. “Oh my god, they are so scary. Gambling, prostitution, booze – let’s take the kids! It is so terrifying.”

I’m sure her publicist was thrilled with the Vegas bashing just before her Vegas show, Bette Midler: The Showgirl Must Go On began last February. Las Vegas Resorts have lots of attractions for children, and there are hundreds of youth competitions and seminars in the city every year. Not to mention the tens of thousands of families living in the city.
I guess Bette Midler needs a lesson in the new Vegas. I’m sure her opinion will be different in a couple of years.
