Dice control is a much-debated topic around the craps tables these days. Some players claim that they can control the outcome of the roll and beat the game. Not only are there educational resources for controlling the roll of the dice, but also information on how to organize a dice-control team.

Controlled dice rolling is a theory where the dice are held in a certain position and thrown at a certain angle, so that the outcome of the rolls will change enough to diminish the house edge over the player. There are very few individuals that claim to have consistently beaten the game, but there are many who claim to know how to teach you.

This technique does not put the player in a position to crush the game, like counting cards would do at a blackjack table. It only diminishes the house edge, so a big bankroll will be a requirement.

Improving your bets on the craps table can be achieved by only choosing the bets with the lowest house edge. The best bet you can make is to buy don’t pass and/or don’t come bets from players who place don’t pass and/or don’t come bets that wind up on the six or eight. Once you’re up on the numbers, the don’t bettor has the best of it because he is now rooting for the seven. So if you are up on the don’t-six, you have six ways to win and five ways to lose. That’s a 6/5 edge. Just pay the bettors off in cash when they go to change the bet.

When making don’t pass, don’t come, pass, and come bets place the minimum on the bet and the maximum on the odds. The bet has a 1.403% edge, but the odds bets give the house no edge.
